SOC 2 Compliance

CXT Software’s commitment to maintain the highest standards for its controls and safeguarding sensitive information. Ongoing assurance for mitigating risks related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

Enterprise SSO (Client Portal)

Enterprise SSO allows for scalable Client Portal user management based on a single set of credentials.

This feature was specifically developed for logistics companies that work with hospitals and labs which have large quantities of employees and potentially high turnover. This scalable solution allows for completely autonomous end-user management within the Client Portal through the following:

  • Allows seamless login for active employees

  • Automatically creates new user accounts for new hires upon the first successful authenticated login

  • Automatically denies access if the employee is terminated and no longer has valid credentials with their company

INTERNAL NOTES:

In case the following comes up during a sales and marketing call:

  • CXT Software is not an SSO Provider. Customers must have an active SSO service prior to activating this feature.

  • CXT Customers can set up an unlimited number of SSO Domains (one is required for each of their customers)

    • Example: If an SSO Domain is set up for @cxtsoftware.com, all users logging in with an @cxtsoftware.com email address will be authenticated through that SSO Domain

The feature is currently available for the Client Portal, but future development is planned for the modern Operations application.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

How to Set Up Single Sign-On (SSO) for the Client Portal

Itinerary Planning

Allows Dispatchers to assess, optimize, and assign on-demand or routed work in bulk to ensure optimal driver or route assignments without the need for manual route or order sequencing.

Functionality allows users to select the work they would like planned, select from their available drivers or routes, and then review or adjust the optimized driver and route plans before finalizing the dispatch assignments.

Opportunity

  • Courier companies can achieve at-least a 15% drop in fuel use within the first quarter of using the Itinerary Planning.

  • Most customers see about 20–30% fewer miles driven after switching from manual planning to optimized routes.

  • Routing algorithms often find routes 20%–40% shorter than a human planner would.

  • Advanced route optimization can increase delivery capacity by 50–75% per driver without adding vehicles.

Benefits

IP provides the following benefits to your business:

  • Improved dispatcher efficiency - Simplify your workflows by automating tedious and time-consuming routing activities

  • Reduced Operational costs - save time during planning and delivery

  • Increased driver productivity - use less drivers to deliver more

  • Improved delivery capacity - Service more stops than can be achieved by using manually planned itineraries

  • Faster delivery times & improved on-time deliveries

Route Optimization

Route Optimization FAQ

Route Optimization

Route Optimization is a feature that removes the need for manual routing. This feature quickly optimizes the sequence of orders or route stops to ensure that a driver is completing their assignments in the most efficient and timely manner.

Route Optimization also allows for customers to be updated with real-time ETA updates so they always know when to expect their delivery.

Parcel Chain of Custody (Scanning) / Parcel Portal

A well-maintained chain of custody in medical deliveries is a necessity for upholding the highest standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Allows carriers to view the entire lifecycle of each parcel, so every person handling a medical parcel is documented, making it easy to track down any issues and have full accountability.

A clear chain of custody ensures medications and specimens reach their destination safely, without compromise, which is paramount for patient well-being and effective treatment.

Cold Chain Refrigeration Requirements

Refrigeration requirements are absolutely critical in medical logistics, particularly for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals and biological samples, to ensure the safe and effective delivery of life-saving medical products to patients worldwide.

Allows carriers to set the following Parcel and Parcel Item Refrigeration Options:

  • Refrigeration Type Requirement: When enabled, drivers are required to enter a refrigeration type for the parcel or parcel item upon scan

  • Refrigeration Type Mismatch Alert and Reporting: When enabled and a refrigeration type mismatch is detected, the driver is alerted of the mismatch and forced to add a parcel comment explaining the mismatch discrepancy

  • Required Driver Input for Temperature Validation: When enabled, drivers can be required to provide real-time temperature readings and/or photos of the in-cooler temperature gauge at specified events within their order and/or route stop workflows.

GPS Requirements

Feature allows carriers to restrict a driver’s access to on-demand and route stop work assignments within CXT Driver unless the driver provides access to their GPS data. (Location Services permission on the mobile device)

How to Require GPS in the Driver App

Geofencing Requirements

Allows carriers to set up an allowed geofence radius that a driver must be within in order to update or complete their assigned on-demand orders and/or route stops. Drivers that are outside of the allowed geofence radius will be visually alerted of their currently location and prevented from making updates until they are within the geofence.

Real-Time Driver Tracking

Allows real-time driver location tracking within both the Operations and Client Portal applications:

Operations

  • Allows dispatchers to view driver locations on the Visual Dispatch Board maps as they progress through their assigned orders and/or routes.

Client Portal

  • Permission-based feature that allows end-users to view real-time driver locations on a map when the driver is performing work for their associated customer account.

Early Arrival Driver Restriction

Feature allows carriers to restrict a driver’s ability to take any actions on an assigned order and/or route stop prior to the ready time, reducing all risk of drivers arriving too early for a lockbox pickup and missing additional items being added by the lab or medical office.

Enforcement Benefits

  • Forces complete driver compliance with medical lab and pharmaceutical drop box pick up times

  • Reduce loss of customer trust and operational costs associated with having to obtain and transport new samples from patients

Driver Early Arrival Restrictions

Required Driver Inputs

Allows carriers to set up customized text prompts that are displayed to a driver during specified workflow events which in turn requires a driver response. For example, Drivers can be forced to answer questions about the delivery or temperature of a cooler. They can also be forced to provide a photo of an empty lockbox to ensure all specimens have been properly picked up.

This feature is completely customizable by the carrier and can be set up for all work or for only selected customers, order types, contract stops, recurring order, individual orders/route stops, etc.

Driver App Required Driver Input

Force Location Scanning

Feature allows carriers to require drivers to scan a location barcode upon arrival at a specified location to ensure that the driver is physically at the proper location prior to making any updates to the assigned on-demand order or route stop.

This feature is helpful when the driver has several stops within a hospital or laboratory and needs to confirm that they are at the correct department for pickup or delivery.

OS&D Reporting

Over, Short, & Damage (OS&D) reports are crucial documents in medical logistics that detail discrepancies in shipments – whether there's an overage, shortage, or damage to the goods received compared to the shipping documents.

Parcel Shortage Driver Alert

Allows drivers to be prompted with a warning within the CXT Driver mobile application any time they try to complete an order or route stop without having scanned all expected parcels.

Status Event Alerts

Allows carriers to set up a variety of status updates to provide end-users and 3rd party shippers with updates on the progress of their shipments.

Alerts can be sent by standard or customized email or SMS text. Below are some general alert examples, but are not limited to:

  • Out for Delivery

  • Next Stop

  • ETA Updates

  • Picked Up

  • Delivered

Dashboard KPIs

Allows carriers to set up one to many Dashboards within the Operations application to display KPI chart data related to on-time performance, customers, shipment types, driver performance, etc.

Dashboards can be shared between office staff or maintained by individual team members.
