5. How Customers Access Analytics in CXT (Deployment Model)

Analytics dashboards are accessed through the existing Dashboards framework in the CXT Operations application.

Dashboard Integration

  • A new dashboard type is available in CXT Operations.

  • This dashboard type supports external analytics dashboards.

  • When accessed, it redirects the user to the analytics dashbc411a07e-4fba-4cf8-bad5-e8f249d43276

This ensures analytics feels like a natural extension of the existing UI.

6. Deployment & Login Flow (Minimal Explanation)

Phase 1 – Current Model

  • Customers who opt in are invited to create an account in Metabase.

  • The invitation is sent by CXT as part of the activation process.

  • On first access:

    • the user enters their Metabase credentials once,

    • after login, dashboards are displayed immediately.

  • Dashboards are pre-filtered to show only that customer’s data.

This redirect + external login model allows fast rollout with minimal risk.

Phase 2 – Planned Evolution

  • Seamless SSO login (no separate credentials).

  • Dashboards embedded directly inside CXT Operations.

  • Analytics will feel fully native to the platform.

7. Why This Approach Was Chosen

  • Delivers value quickly without blocking on long-term UI work.

  • Reuses proven analytics experience.

  • Keeps the platform flexible and extensible:

    • Metabase today,

    • other analytics tools in the future if needed.

  • Avoids locking CXT into a single analytics vendor at the UI level.

8. What This Enables Next

  • Easier configuration of new dashboards based on business needs.

  • Expansion into additional analytics use cases.

  • Strong foundation for future AI and advanced analytics initiatives.
